Pre-requisite: DANCEPL3Y Kids Course

The Adapted DANCEPL3Y course was designed to equip Instructors, Physical Educators, and Recreation Providers with the tools you need to teach DANCEPL3Y classes to children with developmental disabilities.

This training includes detailed resources to help you with pre-class planning, song choices, choreography, setting up your space, and delivering a truly inclusive DANCEPL3Y class experience.

Adapted DANCEPL3Y Program Director

Brandi Heather is an Adapted Physical Activity and Play Development Specialist based in Red Deer, Alberta. She is a female business owner and co-founder of AMPED2PLAY INC. with 20+ years of inclusion leadership and diversity program development and management experience in the University and primary school educational, community and corporate sector.

Brandi delivers extraordinary learning experiences  using play as a catalyst for building an inclusive mindset in the ever changing educational, health and corporate sector.


Her adapted physical activity programs focus on igniting potential, expanding expectations, and exploring possibilities; people of all abilities participate together in a play based exploration that builds a their physical, cognitive and social, emotional development. Her children's adapted physical activity programming helps children and families connect to the importance of movement through play, developing foundational physical literacy skills for a lifetime. Her play spaces give opportunity to explore their physical ability, determination, gross and fine motor skills and to discover how their body explores space and boundaries.

She is a world-class educator and speaker who utilizes the power of play to assist organizations to navigate diversity, inclusion, change management, communication, self-care, mental, and physical health.

Her unique educational and professional skill set includes a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Physical Education and Special Education, a Master's Degree in Physical Education and certification in Foundations of Play Therapy and Advanced Play Therapy Techniques. She is a certified NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills and Coaching Young Athletes (Special Olympics) Course Facilitator.


She is so proud to be a part of the DANCEPL3Y KIDS organization, creating and leading the Adapted DANCEPL3Y Kids Program and the "Adapting DANCEPL3Y to Include" Certificate Program and Education.
